First Snowshoe Outing of the Season

I hope I didn’t jinx the rest of the winter as far as snowfall – I bought our Ogden Nordic season passes in early November, anticipating another great snow year. It is always a guessing game as to how many times we can actually snowshoe so sometimes a season pass isn’t worth it. Well, we had about 2 days of accumulating show which looked to be about 8″ at North Fork Park. They were able to get the groomers and trail folks out and had their season opening on Saturday. We had fun and did a 5 mile loop. Unfortunately looking 10 days out, there is no snow forecasted … WHAT HAPPENED? ARGHHH

Last year by the end of the season we were standing on top of this fence … Fingers crossed!
Weird things that people lose on the trail. Is this a prop for the new Disney sequel to “Frozen” called “Frostbite?” Some little kid is going to be mighty upset when they get home … and cold.
